Introducing Project Heaven Hill

There are some projects that feel special from the very beginning, and #ProjectHeavenHill has been one we’ve been so excited to finally share.

Commercial design brings a completely different perspective to the design process. A space needs to be beautiful, but it also needs to function effortlessly for the people working within it and create an experience for every person who walks through the doors. For Project Heaven Hills, that meant starting with considering the patient experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Patient Experience

When Ashley met with her client to discuss the build out of the office space, they spoke of what would be needed in the space as well as the type of feel the client wanted for his patients to experience.

Ashley came up with a design that had a luxurious, upscale, and calming feel to it!  She started with first considering the patient experience from walking into the space, how to draw their eyes and create beautiful spaces from checking in at the wood wrapped reception desk with custom height round sconces, walking to grab a beverage at the beverage station, and having a seat in a beautiful and serene setting that felt calming and an environment you want to be in - and that can occur through the selected materials: wood tones, crisp white paint with a subtle sheen, architectural lighting directing your eye sight, and a noticeably custom made bench in a cognac tone with a channeled stitched back seat cushion that took time and care to plan, select, and create with beautiful stitching details as one would notice on a leather handbag.  There are curves enhanced by natural light, paint, and a custom wood arch that clients walk through when entering to walk to the operatories.  The patient restroom has floor to ceiling tile with subtle brass details that feel intentional but calming.  It does not demand attention.  When exiting, patients walk out through the wood arch bordered with LED lighting, facing the same beautiful custom bench when exiting.  There is a curved flow also to the patient pathway entering and then leaving.

A Fresh, Luxurious Palette

Ashley selected a paint hue that was fresh and white to brighten the area and selected a countertop material with hints of gold veining to give it that natural and luxurious feel - and this material was installed on the Reception desk, the base of the Niche shelves, atop the beverage area, atop the hallway cabinetry, as a large floating vanity in the Patient Bathroom, and in multiple areas in the newly expanded office space!  Every detail was thought out and then installed by an incredible team - including Denco (GC),  AZWoodworksllc (custom millwork), Heaven Hill Endo.

Carrying the same material throughout so many areas of the office creates a sense of continuity from one space to the next. The fresh white backdrop allows those details to stand out while maintaining the calming feeling Ashley envisioned for the overall project.

It  is a palette that feels refined without feeling overwhelming, an especially important balance for a space designed to welcome patients throughout the day.
