WALLIN

This full-scale remodel in Gilbert, Arizona, brought new life to a home ready for a fresh chapter. Many of the original finishes were still in place, and while the layout offered generous potential, the materials and overall feel no longer reflected the family’s evolving style. Ashley was honored to reimagine nearly every corner of the home from the Primary Suite to the Kitchen, Office, and even the Craft Room, creating a cohesive story of modern comfort layered with timeless charm.

New mid-tone wood flooring was carried throughout, establishing warmth and continuity across the remodeled spaces. Visual Comfort lighting, Kohler plumbing fixtures, and Cambria countertops were thoughtfully selected to elevate function and form while keeping durability in mind for a bustling family home.

In the Primary Bedroom, storage needs called for a creative solution. Instead of traditional dressers, Ashley designed a custom built-in wall opposite the bed: symmetrical cabinetry on either side of a new fireplace, his and hers complete with deep drawers below and open shelving above. Integrated lighting and curated decor brought both utility and intention to the space, while applied trim on the bed wall and elegant sconces added softness and symmetry. The fireplace surround brought a balanced blend of masculine and feminine details, porcelain and warm wood tones meeting in a modern silhouette.

The adjoining Primary Bathroom underwent a transformative redesign. Originally enclosed by walls, the oversized steam shower was opened up with full-height glass panels, making the room feel expansive and spa-like. A floating teak vanity with integrated side shelving replaced the previous tiered countertops, creating visual calm and storage simplicity. Matching teak elements, a custom shower bench, and rolled towel niches added both luxury and warmth. Vertical stack-bond tile in soft golden hues created a clean, refined backdrop, expertly installed by Lux Group. A mix of ambient and practical lighting, including a brass-and-acrylic fan and soft LED strips under the vanity and in the shower niche, brought both mood and function to morning routines.

In the Office, Ashley leaned into bold expression with a deep navy hue that drenched the space in color and character. Custom built-ins crafted by the client’s carpenter brought order and structure while allowing the rich tones to shine. The result was a space that felt grounded, focused, and full of personality.

Throughout the home, Ashley embraced the balance of traditional and modern, carving out beauty in every detail while honoring the family’s need for livable, lasting design. From the refreshed Great Room to the Craft Room, Laundry, and Powder Bath, every space now tells a story of thoughtful transformation. It remains one of Ashley’s favorite projects, both for its design details and the incredible family behind it.
